I believe you made your piont.
You have obviously done a great deal of research.-(did'nt Paulus also sanction Slavery ?)and you may already know of a esteemed professor called George Lakeoff- if not here is a Video Link
Although this lecture, given at Berkeley, is seen from the perspective of an American Political reality, it is based upon Cogitive Science and Linguistics - and seems very useful when understanding how religious fundermentalists understand the world and the rest of us.

It is usefull.
Allthough the US situation is very different from the Danish , theres is, in Denmark, an almost complete lack of religious critic, a blindness of some kind.
